I don’t have an idea, can I still join?
Of course! In fact, most founders start without a clear idea. In the very few tasks, Dream Lab’s AI helps you search for, validate and develop ideas based on your interests, skills, and market needs. You won’t just have an idea, you’ll have an idea with real potential.
I can’t code, can I keep up?
YES! Dream Lab works for technical as well as non-technical founders. With the AI Co-founder, you just describe your idea and the system helps you create a prototype, the materials and even a pitch deck. You focus on the ‘what’ and ‘why’; AI takes care of the ‘how’.
How long does the program take?
The product builder program has 20 tasks that are self-paced. You can take your time, but most finish in 2-3 months. At the end, you have a validated product. If you want to continue with the 2nd program part, the company builder program, you can take as much time as you want (note: the 2nd program has a pay-per-month pricing structure).
What do I have at the end of the program?
If you complete all 20 tasks, you will have a working prototype, user feedback, a marketing plan, maybe even your first sign-up users and an investor pitch. Dream Lab will give you feedback. And if you did a good job, invite you to the Dream Lab Venture Builder with funding and more support.
What products can I build in Dream Lab?
The current program focuses on web applications. Of course, you can also build offline businesses and just use the web to win customers and get feedback. Hardware, manufacturing, bio-engineering, and other products that require equipment typically work less well.
I am already older, can I still join?
Yes! Dream Lab has no age limit. You just need an open mindset and the desire to learn how to build real products. In fact, many learners over 30 have advantages in experience, user understanding and business sense, factors that are extremely important in startups. AI helps you handle the technical side so you can focus on ideas and strategy.
Does the AI do everything for me?
No. The Dream Lab AI doesn't do all the work for you – it assists you. You're still improving the product step-by-step, talking to users, connecting the dots, making decisions, and learning to think like a real founder. AI just helps you go faster, smarter, and make fewer mistakes. In other words, you own the idea, AI is the "co-founder" that helps you realize it.
Does the Dream Lab AI code for me?
No. The Dream Lab AI helps you to do research, find patterns, structure tasks, and outputs. But it will not code for you. We partner with AI app builders who code for you. The Dream Lab AI prepares the requirements and helps you work with them. But the apps are coded in other tools, like Lovable, Cursor, V0, Bolt, etc. Don't worry, the program guides you through every step.
